Digital Approaches in Care Homes
Digital Inclusion – Connecting Residents in Scotland’s Care Homes initiative

Digital Inclusion – Connecting Residents in Scotland’s Care Homes initiative is a programme of work led by Scottish Government and delivered with Connecting Scotland, in collaboration with COSLA, the Care Inspectorate, Scottish Care and the Scottish Social Services Council. All of Scotland’s care homes are eligible for a free digital package to help residents use digital devices to support their health, wellbeing and to connect with family and friends.
On offer is a digital package that consists of a combination of the following (depending on individual care home requirements):
∙ An iPad
∙ Mifi dongle
∙ Data package for Vodafone 4G connection
∙ Staff training and development opportunities
