The Digital Health & Care Institute (DHI) is a national resource and centre of excellence funded by the Scottish Government and the SFC. We are a collaboration between the Glasgow School of Art and the University of Strathclyde and transform great ideas into real solutions. We play a pivotal role inspiring, enabling and combining world-leading industry and academic expertise with technology, service, and design innovation to create person-centred digital health and care solutions to positively impact society. With engagement impact at every level from citizens to policy makers, we continue to be recognised as a world-class contributor to innovation.
Our vision is to help the Scottish population to live longer and healthier lives, whilst creating economic opportunities and jobs in the sector. All our solutions focus on Service, Technical and Business Innovation. We prioritise scalable solutions with replicable business models that can be exported, adopted and implemented globally.
We work with Civic organisations (Health & Care Providers, Local Authorities, Ministers and funding bodies), Commercial organisations (Scottish SMEs through to global enterprise organisations), Academia (Colleges and Universities, Research Institutes/ Innovation Centres) and Citizens (end users of our solutions, schools and third sector).
We provide a range of services including engagement; facilitation; project management; service, business, technical and innovation that assists in increasing individuals and organisations readiness to harness digital innovation for impactful results that have real benefits to the system and the citizen.
