Our Digital Champions
You might be a digital champion already. You help your family, friends and colleagues to gain online access. You show them how to use a new tool and navigate the ‘how to’ with them if they don’t know the answer.
The Digital Approaches in Care Homes project is already utilising Digital Champions, but we always need more people to step up to this important role. Could this be you?
What exactly is a Digital Champion in a care home setting?
A Digital Champion helps colleagues and residents build their confidence and skills to get online. You don’t need to be a digital expert to be a Digital Champion. You do need to be confident in your own digital skills. You must also have the patience, enthusiasm and passion to help others.
What Digital Champions do
Digital Champions in care homes hold a front-line position in helping residents and staff get online. All care home staff can potentially play or support this role. Any role that comes into regular contact with other staff and residents can be a Digital Champion.
Activities a Digital Champion might undertake
