This Programme of work aims to raise awareness of how everyday technology can improve the lives of people living with dementia in Scotland. Working in partnership with Alzheimer Scotland we developed the 2015 Technology Charter for People with Dementia in Scotland. Since then, the collaboration has supported a number of joint initiatives including the development of Purple Alert and About Digital And Me (ADAM).

The Reimagining Telecare programme of work aims to provide national leadership, and support for telecare service providers during a period of significant change. Opportunities will present for service integration, re-design and transformation as telecare services transition to digital and the recommendations from the Independent Review of Adult Social Care in Scotland are taken forward.

This programme of work aims to support better and ethical use of data locally and nationally.  Telecare data matters to people who want to achieve their own personal outcomes as well as the whole system of care, health and housing.

The work programme is delivered in partnership with the Local Government Digital Office.

This programme of work aims to achieve greater consistency in telecare service practice and delivery where this will benefit people in receipt of telecare, telecare service providers and the wider system. 

Analogue to Digital Telecare

This critical programme of work is led by TEC partners, the Local Government Digital Office Digital Telecare team. The programme aims to support the imperative for telecare services to transition from using analogue to digital telephony by 2023.
