Tara French

Dr Tara French is Programme Lead for Digital Inclusion within the Digital Health and Care Directorate, Scottish Government. Tara is passionate about genuine co-design and human rights based approaches to designing social care and health in Scotland. She has worked in academia, policy and practice (in both Social Care and the NHS). Her work has led to the creation of the Care Technologist role in Social Care, the co-production of human rights principles for digital health and care, and has contributed to driving forward the value of person-owned data and social care data in service design. Tara strives to ensure people’s experiences and aspirations for care and support are included throughout the design process and values opportunities to work collaboratively to make participation in co-design a meaningful and positive experience.
