As coordinators of the European Connected Health Alliance (ECHAlliance) Thematic Innovation Ecosystem on Digital Health and Wellbeing, the Digital Health and Care Directorate organise knowledge exchange webinars and contribute to international exchanges of good practice in the field of digital health and wellbeing.
The Ecosystems were established in response to demand from the members of the ECHA, the first Digital Health and Wellbeing Thematic Innovation Ecosystem webinar, in May 2021, considered the shift to digital, accelerated by the response to COVID-19, with timely examples from Scotland and Slovenia.
In September 2021, contributors from Australia and Wales focused on whether a recognition of digitally enabled services was resulting in a shift in policy & strategy development. Contributors shared developments on digitally enabled services being embedded in local, regional & national policies, action plans or strategies.
On 7 April 2022, contributors from Moldova and Scotland will focus on Innovation in Stroke Services. A critically important area for healthcare response, stroke services are benefiting from greater coordination in planning, ICT infrastructure and supportive services being delivered innovatively.
