Calum continues to make strong links with practice, exploring what digital solutions and innovations are currently in use, as well as supporting them to explore new solutions to support some of the issues currently facing the social work profession such as recruitment and retention of staff and more use of proactive and preventative approaches to care.
Calum recently attended the European Social Services Conference in Malmö, Sweden. The conference is the annual flagship event of the European Social Network, and this year saw attendance from nearly 700 delegates from 40 countries across the world. The theme of the conference was how technology and digitalisation could be used to promote autonomy and inclusion in social services. You can read his reflections on this event here
