Maternity scale up

By TEC Team, Tue, 19/05/2020

As you will be aware from our recent e-mail to you the ‘Technology Supporting Maternity Care’ Programme has been mandated by the Chief Nursing Office for all NHS Boards. This will include the introduction of NHS Near Me and the provision of validated blood pressure monitors and urinalysis kits for home monitoring.

Where possible, we are asking if you will consider supporting your local midwives to implement use of Florence (or other digital solutions) to monitor BP and urinalysis.

Use of the technology is not mandatory but, working with the Near Me programme, TEC is keen to encourage where possible.

Any recruitment will contribute to our BP scale up targets therefore, while some partners are unable to drive the GP work at present, this may offer an opportunity to keep our HMHM programme alive!
